Quick Start Guide
This guide will walk you through making your first outbound call in just a few minutes. By the end, you'll have a functional AI assistant ready to make calls on your behalf.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- An active account with outbound calling access
- At least one telephone number configured in your account
Step 1: Access the Outbound Section
- Navigate to your dashboard
- Click on Outbound in the sidebar
- You'll see the main outbound calling interface
Step 2: Quick Call Setup
The fastest way to get started is using the Make Call button, which opens the call configuration modal.
Basic Configuration
- Phone Number: Enter the recipient's phone number (e.g., +1 555-123-4567)
- System Prompt: This tells the AI how to behave. Example:
You are a helpful customer service representative from ABC Company. Be polite, professional, and helpful. Keep responses concise and clear.
- Greeting Message: What the AI says first. Example:
Hello! This is Sarah calling from ABC Company. I hope you're having a great day. How can I assist you today?
- Language: Select the language for the conversation (English, Spanish, French, German)
- Voice: Choose from available AI voices
Essential Settings
- Outbound Trunk: Select your telephone number for making the call
- Enable Voice Recording: Recommended for quality assurance
- Knowledge Base: Select "No Knowledge Base" for your first test call
Step 3: Make Your First Call
- Click Make Call to initiate the conversation
- The system will dial the number and begin the conversation
- You can monitor the call progress in your dashboard
Step 4: Review Call Results
After the call completes:
- Check the call logs in your Conversations section
- Review any recordings if enabled
- Analyze the conversation transcript

Create an AI Assistant
Instead of configuring each call manually, create reusable AI assistants:
- Click Create Assistant in the Outbound section
- Follow the wizard to define personality, tools, and instructions

Build a Knowledge Base
Upload company information for your AI to reference:
- Go to Knowledge Base section
- Create a new knowledge base
- Upload documents, add text content, or include website URLs
- Connect the knowledge base to your assistants
